RUDA and HEC Join Forces to Revolutionize Pakistan’s Education System

The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the education system in Pakistan. The signing ceremony, held in Lahore, featured prominent figures such as Azfar Ali Nasir, Chairman of RUDA, and Dr. Shahid Munir, Chairman of the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC).

The collaboration focuses on establishing world-class universities in the planned Ravi City, envisioned as a hub for higher education and economic growth. Nasir emphasized that these universities will not only elevate educational standards but also contribute significantly to the country’s economic development. Brigadier (retd) Mansoor Janjua, COO of RUDA, highlighted the involvement of five British universities and two Chinese institutions, which plan to set up campuses in Ravi City​ (The News)​​.

Dr. Shahid Munir lauded the initiative, referring to the creation of a “Knowledge City” in Ravi City as a commendable step towards educational advancement.
